Well it’s back to school time here in Northern Illinois. Parents and students will be headed back to the daily grind as Rochelle starts school on Monday and Tuesday, August 17 & 18, and Kishwaukee College and NIU start the following week.
High school football games as well as college games will be in full swing as NIU will play it’s first home game on September 12th against Western Illinois University.
12th Annual Lincoln Hwy Festival
Rochelle will be hosting the 12th Annual Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival, starting August 21 – 23, featuring amusements, car and truck show, kid zone, entertainment and the Parade on Sunday.
13th Annual Fly In Drive
Also being held will be the 13th Annual Fly In Drive In located at Rochelle Municipal Airport. Aviation enthusiasts and families alike will enjoy the day watching planes and local entertainment.
32nd Corn Fest
DeKalb will be hosting the 32nd Corn Fest at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport. What a great day of family fun and entertainment.
Creston Booster Days
Plan ahead as Creston Booster days will take place on September 18 -20 in Creston Illinois, and the Jonamac Apple Orchard in Malta opens in late August. There is going to be lots to do this fall so just stay tuned.
