With Decemeber fast on the approach, in Rochelle that means one thing, The Downtown Christmas Walk! Begin this holiday season with Cheer the first weekend of December. Festivities start on Friday, December 3rd in the downtown area. From your room at the Comfort Inn and Suites, it is a brief jaunt down 7th street to 4th Avenue.
All the holiday standards will be showcased at this family friendly event from last year including: the Lighted Parade with local businesses and organizations decking out some beautifully lit vehicles and floats; tree lighting ceremony a chance to meet Mr. Christmas himself, Santa; not to mention specials at many local specials and food.
Brand new this year will be a bed race. Teams will dress up in outrageous ourfits and race their home-made racing beds. You never know what will happen.
